Job summary

ERM, the world’s largest EHS consultancy, seeks a Managing Consultant, EHS Compliance in the San Francisco Bay Area (Sunnyvale/San Jose region). You will lead high-profile safety projects, drive regulatory compliance, and advise on complex technical issues.

With 4+ years in EHS and strong CA/federal rules knowledge, you will mentor juniors and collaborate across ERM’s global network. Bay Area travel is required; base pay ranges from $103,872 to $130,886 USD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related science degree.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in technology, biotech, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative safety programs across diverse clients, addressing a wide array of safety challenges.
• Manage environmental programs and compliance.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
• Provide training and coaching to improve client safety performance.
• Analyze data and deliver actionable insights to reduce hazards and ensure compliance.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth.
