Job summary

ERM, the world’s leading sustainability consultancy, seeks a Managing Consultant, EHS Compliance in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will lead safety initiatives, build client relationships, and drive regulatory compliance across Silicon Valley and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related science degree.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally within technology, biotech, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to travel throughout the San Fran Bay Area, California.
• Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to frequent travel to client locations across a large geographical area.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead high-profile EHS projects across Silicon Valley and beyond.
• Design and implement safety programs addressing Biohazards, Chemical, Lab, Electrical Safety, and NFPA 70E, and related areas.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth.
• Collaborate with ERM’s global network to solve multidisciplinary challenges.
