Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a senior engineer to lead effluent treatment from engineering and site-operations perspectives. You will guide capital projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and apply advanced process knowledge to improve performance and safety.

You will collaborate with environmental, maintenance, and project teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to long-term technical strategies while supporting continuous improvement across treatment units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 7+ years of experience; or Master’s with 5+ years; or PhD with 3+ years.
• Advanced knowledge of effluent treatment plant principles and practices.
• Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead as a technical leader and SME to support site operations and capital projects.
• Drive optimization of effluent treatment processes using engineering principles and analytics.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent and coordinate with stakeholders across operations.
• Develop and implement standards and continuous improvement initiatives for safety and efficiency.
