Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide complex projects and mentor cross-functional teams. You will drive best-practice transfer, align efforts with strategic goals and communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities include solving advanced technical problems, staying current with industry trends, and influencing project strategy, while supporting continuous improvement across units. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 10 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 6 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to research and analyze difficult information and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to{ }maintain safety awareness and precautions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review engineering projects and technical challenges; develop recommendations.
• Align engineering efforts with strategic goals and long-term technical strategies.
• Communicate clearly with audiences from junior to Sr leadership to influence decisions.
• Demonstrate exceptional technical skills and contribute to complex projects.
• Identify and solve challenging technical problems delivering valuable outcomes.
• Stay current with industry trends and recommend best practices.
• Lead and influence site/project management on strategy, execution and improvements.
