Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Morenci is seeking a senior environmental engineer/manager to plan, organize, and evaluate complex engineering projects. You will supervise practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with site leadership and vendors to achieve timely, cost-efficient outcomes.

The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams and deep knowledge of environmental regulations, air/water quality, and permitting, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus seven years of related experience, or Master’s degree with five years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, manages and evaluates designated engineering projects and programs.
• Supervises engineering practices and reports environmental compliance issues.
• Represents site on steering teams and coordinates with vendors and management.
