Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is seeking a Lead Educator in Plymouth, MN to create a warm, inclusive classroom where children thrive. You will plan play-based, age-appropriate lessons, observe development, and partner with families to support each child's growth.

You will maintain a safe, collaborative, and joyful environment while meeting DHS qualifications for a licensed center and using technology for daily reporting.

Qualifications

• Must meet Department of Human Services (DHS) qualifications for a Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Demonstrated experience working with young students in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Implement play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with early learning standards.
• Help maintain a positive classroom culture fostering belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Observe and assess development; tailor instruction to individual needs and document progress.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture; ensure safety and cleanliness of the environment.
• Provide daily communication with families about students’ progress and development.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
