Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is seeking a Lead Educator to create nurturing, innovative learning environments for young students. You will plan play-based activities, assess development, and maintain a positive classroom culture that supports safety, belonging, and curiosity.

Required DHS qualifications and experience in licensed early childhood settings, with strong communication and teamwork. The role includes daily parent communication, collaboration with staff, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet DHS qualifications for a Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Experience working with young students in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 40 lbs and being active in a classroom.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum planning and implementation with play-based, age-appropriate activities.
• Observe, assess, and tailor instruction based on student progress and needs.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe classroom culture and manage behavior.
• Provide daily parent/family communication about student progress via the company app and other channels.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues and school leadership.
