You will create weekly lesson plans aligned with state standards, observe child development, manage classroom culture, and engage families through daily updates. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and ongoing professional development, with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must meet Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) qualifications for a Lead Teacher in a licensed child care center.
• Demonstrated experience working with young children in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement weekly play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote development and reflect core values and state standards.
• Create a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Observe and assess child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of child progress and development.
• Establish and maintain a positive, respectful classroom culture and manage behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Provide daily communication to parents about their child’s progress and development.
• Collaborate with parents to support learning at school and home.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and share best practices with colleagues.
