Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center in Minnesota is seeking a Lead Teacher to deliver play-based curricula and supportive learning experiences for young children in a licensed center.

You will plan weekly activities aligned with state standards, assess child progress, communicate with families, and contribute to a collaborative, joyful classroom culture while pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet Minnesota DHS qualifications for a Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare center.
• Experience teaching young children in licensed early childhood settings.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting and being on feet.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement weekly, age-appropriate lesson plans reflecting core values and standards.
• Create a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Observe, assess, and document child progress to tailor instruction.
• Establish a positive classroom environment and manage behavior with positive guidance.
• Provide daily parent communication about progress and activities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collaboration with staff.
