Job summary

RSU 40's LEAD Program in Waldoboro, ME seeks an Educational Technician III to support students with significant cognitive and adaptive needs through individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals and inclusive, community-based experiences.

You will collaborate with regular and special education staff, maintain professional boundaries, and help with materials preparation, classroom management, and data collection to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) required
• Educational Technician III credential required
• Experience in similar work preferred
• Strong cooperation, flexibility, initiative, and industriousness

Responsibilities

• Review and reinforce learning aligned to IEP goals and assist in practice activities
• Provide non-instructional, non-evaluative support and materials preparation

• Supervise small groups in community-based programs
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Inform lead teacher of student progress and concerns
• Carry out duties relating to supervision of students during breaks and transitions
