Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher at the Greene County Early Learning Center in Georgia. The role focuses on delivering safe, developmentally appropriate early learning experiences for children ages six weeks to three years, while engaging families and ensuring compliance with program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• PDS documentation and transcripts.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including kneel, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop classroom associates and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement learning experiences that advance intellectual and physical development.
• Encourage family involvement and build relationships with families.
• Apply developmentally appropriate practices that are inclusive and age-appropriate.
• Meet all applicable regulations, timelines and licensing requirements.
• Conduct and record developmental observations and assessments as required.
• Record attendance and meal counts daily and ensure accurate reporting.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
