Job summary

Educare of Omaha, Inc. is seeking a Non-Certified Lead Teacher for Early Head Start in Omaha, NE.

The role focuses on planning, implementing, and coordinating a comprehensive early education program for children ages 0-5, aligned with Head Start and state licensing guidelines. The position is full-time (40 hours/week, 12 months) with schedules between 7:00am and 5:30pm, and requires a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (or CDA with additional requirements).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education preferred or in a related area required.
• CDA certification required within 12 months of hire if the bachelor's degree is not in Early Childhood Education.
• Two years of early childhood experience in a group setting preferred.
• Must pass a background check that meets compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess and document each child’s skills, behavior, growth and development in appropriate databases.
• Develop individualized lesson plans and coordinate referrals for children with special needs.
• Lead developmentally appropriate education program compliant with Head Start/Early Head Start and licensing guidelines.
• Collaborate in team settings including IDT or IEP/IFSP as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and engaging classroom environments and supervise staff as required.
