Job summary

Family Services Association is seeking a Lead Teacher I to oversee the development, education and assessment of children in Cabazon, CA. The role ensures compliance with Title 22 and Title 5, while guiding a team of educators toward high-quality program delivery.

You will plan daily activities, supervise staff, conduct DRDP assessments, and connect with families to support each child’s growth. A strong emphasis on safety, documentation and ongoing professional growth is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in early childhood education or child development.
• Teacher Level Permit required.
• Minimum 1 year center-based care experience in last 4 years (infants/toddlers 6 months).
• DRDP/ERS training within required timelines.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and implement the program according to policies and standards.
• Develop daily schedule supporting development and motor skills.
• Lead educators to engage in DAP interactions daily.
• Maintain relationships with children and families.
• Complete health checks, meal counts, and required reports.
• Review performance of staff and provide guidance.
• Lead DRDP assessments and parent conferences.
• Ensure safe environment free of hazards.
