Job summary

The Lead Teacher I at FSA Child Development Services assumes responsibility for supervision, development, education, and assessment of children, ensuring Title 22 and Title 5 regulations are followed and guiding a team of educators.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising the program, daily schedules, engaging staff in developmentally appropriate practice, building strong family relationships, and maintaining required reports and ERS/DRDP assessments with portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in ECE or CD; infants/toddlers course recommended.
  • Teacher Level Permit required.
  • At least 1 year center-based care experience; infants/toddlers require 6 months.
  • Training: CLASS, PITC, DRDP certification within specified timeframes.
  • Maintain licensing status with Community Care Licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, supervise and implement the program following policy and standards.
  • Develop daily schedules balancing indoor/outdoor activities for development.
  • Lead educators in DAP interactions and social skill development.
  • Engage families and learn about a child’s background to tailor learning.
  • Oversee DRDP assessments and portfolio development with Learning Genie.
  • Complete required health checks, ERS/DRDP reporting and documentation.
