Job summary

Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center is seeking a Lead Educator to create nurturing, inclusive learning environments where young children thrive. You will plan weekly, play-based lessons, assess progress, and maintain a positive classroom culture that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.

You will collaborate with families, communicate daily progress via our app, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting and carrying young children and classroom materials, and responding quickly to emergencies.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements for working in a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement weekly play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote children’s development and reflect our values and standards.
• Create a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Observe and assess each child’s development and tailor instruction accordingly and document progress.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture and manage behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Provide daily communication with parents via the Parent Communication app and collaborate with families to support learning at school and home.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices.
