Job summary

Akin seeks a Lead Teacher to plan and implement comprehensive child development services and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will collaborate with the teaching team to engage families, conduct conferences, and support transitions for children across Head Start and ECEAP standards.

The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate practices, teamwork, and ongoing participation in required trainings to ensure high-quality early childhood education within a vibrant community

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Ability to meet professional development requirements and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily classroom functions and operations.
• Plans daily schedule and lesson plans aligned with Head Start/ECEAP standards.
• Engages with families and communities to support child development.
• Conducts parent-teacher conferences and home visits.
• Administers screenings and maintains confidential records for children.
