Job summary

YAI seeks an Assistant Supervisor to join our residential program in Bronx. You will lead DSP staff, train teammates, and help with scheduling, budgeting, and systems management while ensuring person-centered care and regulatory compliance.

This role blends direct care with administrative duties in a dynamic setting. Responsibilities include supervising shifts, assisting with staffing coverage, maintaining electronic records, and coordinating supplies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare or related field and 6+ months of experience in I/DD settings or equivalent
• High School Diploma with 2+ years of supervisory/lead experience including scheduling duties
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; ability to learn electronic systems like Workday and EMR

Responsibilities

• Lead in absence of Program Supervisor and manage shift operations
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling, and training of DSP staff
• Oversee program finances, petty cash, and documentation for expenditures
• Coordinate inventory, supplies, and safety checks across program sites
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, regulatory requirements, and program plans
