Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability seeks Assistant Supervisors to lead direct care teams across residential and community settings. You will supervise DSPs, assist with scheduling, training, and budgeting, and serve as on-shift lead when the Program Supervisor is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare or related field is required.
• Six months of experience with individuals with I/DD or similar settings; or two years with HS diploma plus supervisory/lead experience.
• Foundational certifications: SCIP-R, CPR, AMAP or Day Services Model Training.
• New hires must obtain required certifications within six months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead DSPs on shift and coordinate coverage and scheduling.
• Assist with staffing, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Ensure health, safety and rights of individuals supported; deescalate crises.
• Train staff on plans, BSPs, IPs and compliance; model professional behavior.
• Collaborate with Program Supervisor and participate in committees.
