Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Mexia, TX is seeking a Direct Support Professional IV Lead/Charge for the Martin - Residential Care site in Mexia, TX. This regular, full-time role covers coordinating habilitation, behavior management, and treatment programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will supervise DSP staff, provide on-the-job training, ensure daily documentation, and participate in an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Experience implementing behavior programs or assisting people with intellectual developmental disabilities with activities of daily living.
• Experience completing documentation or writing reports.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) (preferred).
• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience leading or supervising others (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates habilitation and rehabilitation, behavior management, crisis intervention, and treatment programs for individuals.
• Assigns staff to ensure supervision and engagement according to plans.
• Maintains daily documentation and communicates progress to the supervisor.
• Provides on‑the‑job training and mentorship to new DSPs.
• Acts as active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
