Job summary

HR Green, Inc. seeks a Drainage Design Engineer in Houston to lead drainage, hydrology, and hydraulic design efforts on municipal and state roadway projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with project managers, and directly engage clients to deliver high-quality design deliverables. Qualified candidates bring 6+ years of drainage design experience, PE licensure (or earned within six months), and proficiency with Geopak Drainage and ORD-DU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive design/engineering experience including drainage design.
• Current PE registration or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience with drainage, hydrology, and hydraulic analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage, hydrology, and hydraulic analysis and design tasks independently.
• Coordinate with project managers on planning, schedules, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare and sign engineering documents as a company signer.
• Engage with clients and support project proposals and fee development.
