Job summary

TGG Accounting is seeking a Lead Technician to join our team in Clinton Township, MI. This hands-on role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing commercial overhead doors and loading dock equipment on both new construction and service projects.

You will work alongside a second technician, travel within a 2-hour radius of Detroit, and start around 6:00 AM for a 40+ hour week. This position rewards hands-on skills, reliability, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Lead Technician experience or 5+ years of overhead door/loading dock experience.
• Direct overhead door and/or loading dock experience.
• Commercial or residential experience.
• High school diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Comfortable using an iPad, smartphone, and basic technology.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install and service commercial overhead doors and loading dock equipment.
• Work on both new construction and service/repair projects.
• Load materials and equipment at the shop before heading to jobsites.
• Measure openings and verify equipment requirements.
• Meet with customers and complete assigned work.
• Diagnose equipment and troubleshoot service issues.
• Document completed work and take jobsite photos using an iPad.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Work with assistant technicians and management.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
