Job summary

TGG Accounting is seeking a Lead Field Technician for commercial doors and loading docks in Clinton Township, MI. This hands-on field role involves installation, service, and repair on-site, with 95% field time, direct customer interaction, and ownership of jobs from start to finish.

You will work with a family-owned team, earning overtime, on-call bonuses, and a company vehicle, while enjoying comprehensive benefits and local project focus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, repairing, and troubleshooting overhead doors and loading dock equipment.
• Experience with both new construction and service/repair work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently in the field and use digital tools (iPad, email).
• Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and pass background/drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation, service, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial overhead doors and loading dock equipment.
• Work on both new construction projects and aftermarket/service calls.
• Document work and load materials; communicate with customers in the field.
• Measure openings, understand product specs, ensure proper installation.
• Maintain organized vehicle and shop environment; collaborate with team.
