Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Oklahoma City seeks a Principal Engineer – DMSMS-Obsolescence to join a team addressing obsolescence across LRUs/SRUs with a focus on cost-benefit analyses and lifecycle impact. On-site work only; U.S.

Government Secret clearance is required. Responsibilities include studying reliability, maintenance, and availability, researching parts lists, and coordinating with vendors to determine proactive resolutions for sustainment across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years experience or MSc with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• On-site work in Oklahoma City, OK
• Excellent communication with multiple departments
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs and maintenance parts lists
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Logistics experience addressing DMSMS issues

Responsibilities

• Develop reliability, maintainability and availability studies across the program life cycle.
• Analyze aircraft maintenance programs and provide recommendations.
• Research BOMs and IPBs to build a comprehensive database.
• Identify obsolescence data elements affecting LRUs/SRUs.
• Engage suppliers for obsolescence information and proactive identification.
• Provide health assessments of systems and impact analysis.
• Perform trade studies for obsolescence resolutions and cost-benefit analysis.
• Define and compare resolution options for customer clarity and impact.
