Job summary

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for a District Survey Manager in Great Falls. This senior professional land surveyor (PLS) directs and oversees district land survey operations, plans projects, and implements survey procedures at the district level.

The role provides supervision to the District Survey Unit and oversees consultant contracts under PLS oversight. Requirements include an Associate’s degree in land surveying or related fields, a minimum of four years in

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent education in land surveying or geomatics.
• At least 4 years of professional land survey experience with 1 year of supervision.
• Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor is required; Montana CDL Class A, Type II is required.

• Direct and oversee MDT district land survey operations and activities.
• Plan and manage district survey projects and implement survey procedures.
• Provide technical oversight to survey crews and manage contracts and supplies.
