Job summary

Electra Grid Solutions is seeking a Distribution Lineman A to install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground power lines and equipment. This role marks the final stage of a progression from Apprentice to Journeyman, and the incumbent will mentor lower-level crew members.

You will work above ground with climbing gear and specialized equipment, perform fault-locating tasks, switching, and routine maintenance, and ensure safety standards and DOT requirements are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman-level experience with overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
• CDL Class A license required.
• First Aid, CPR, and Pole Top Rescue certification required.
• Must pass drug, alcohol, background, MVR, and clearinghouse checks.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground lines and equipment.
• Work above ground using climbing gear and specialized equipment.
• Perform line switching, fault-locating, and routine maintenance.
• Inspect lines, poles, and equipment for damage or wear; report deficiencies.
