Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a distributed design engineer to join our Lexington-based team on a hybrid schedule, with remote work possible until the Kentucky office opens. You will lead engineers and designers in developing overhead and underground distribution facilities up to 38 kV, review work packages, and provide construction support.

The ideal candidate has a design-related degree, 6+ years in electric utility distribution, and proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PoleForeman, along with

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 4-year non-engineering degree required.
• 6+ years in electric distribution design or related experience.
• Knowledge of codes and distribution software tools.
• Experience with overhead/underground projects up to 38 kV.
• Strong communication and project leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities.
• Lead a project team of engineers and designers in a hybrid work setting.
• Perform field work when necessary and provide construction support.
• Coordinate with clients and review BOM, costs, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with codes (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE) and standards.
