Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with distributed systems focus.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, distributed, event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of Java-based microservices and API gateways.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Architecture Leadership: define reference architecture for distributed, event-driven, and integration-centric systems.
• Distributed Systems Design: build high-throughput, fault-tolerant, scalable solutions.
• Enterprise Integration & Messaging: design using publish/subscribe, routing, transformation.
• API & Service Architecture: set API design standards and service communication models.
• Cloud-Native & Platform Architecture: leverage Docker, Kubernetes; multi-region deployments; IaC.
• Data Architecture & Flow: design data strategies including event sourcing and CQRS.
• Observability & Reliability: establish tracing with Prometheus/OpenTelemetry/Jaeger.
• Security & Compliance Architecture: implement secure patterns, FedRAMP/DoD/SOC2.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: mentor engineers and participate in reviews.
