Qualifications

• 10+ years of distributed systems experience.
• Proven design of large-scale, event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Architecture Leadership — define and evolve reference architecture for distributed, event-driven, and integration-centric systems.
• Distributed Systems Design — build high-throughput, scalable data processing with fault tolerance and performance optimization.
• Enterprise Integration & Messaging — design solutions using Enterprise Integration Patterns and messaging platforms.
• API & Service Architecture — set standards for API design and service-to-service communication models.
• Cloud-Native & Platform Architecture — design multi-region, HA, DR architectures using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Data Architecture & Flow — design data strategies including event sourcing and CQRS across services.
• Observability & Reliability — establish observability across systems with metrics and tracing.
• Security & Compliance — define secure patterns and ensure compliance with DoD/FedRAMP where applicable.
• Cross-Team Collaboration — partner with engineering, DevOps, and security and guide senior engineers.
