Blue Yonder Defense Solutions seeks a Distributed Systems / Integration Architect to lead the design of an enterprise-scale platform, defining patterns for distributed computing, event-driven systems, and enterprise integration to ensure scalability and interoperability.

The ideal candidate blends deep distributed-systems expertise with messaging frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and API governance, including Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes across multi-region deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with distributed systems focus.
• Proven experience in large-scale, event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Java microservices and API gateways.
• Deep understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns and data flows.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve reference architecture for distributed, event-driven and integration-centric systems.
• Design high-throughput, fault-tolerant distributed systems with scalable data processing.
• Architect messaging solutions using pub/sub, routing and transformation patterns.
• Set API standards (REST, gRPC, AsyncAPI) and guide service communication models.
• Create cloud-native designs with multi-region deployments and IaC tooling.
