You will lead a senior team, partner with Sales, Finance, Product, and Actuarial to meet growth and profitability goals, and drive underwriting excellence across markets.

The role requires extensive health insurance underwriting experience, strong leadership, and strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of underwriting experience in health insurance.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing underwriting teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in underwriting principles, pricing methodologies, funding arrangements, and risk management practices.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop managers and underwriting professionals for Group Medicare Advantage and Part D.
• Drive underwriting strategies balancing membership growth, revenue targets, and profitability.
• Oversee complex new business and renewal opportunities across markets.
• Ensure effective risk assessment, pricing accuracy, and adherence to policies.
• Provide strategic guidance on high-profile cases and resolve underwriting challenges.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, Actuarial, and other teams to support objectives.
• Build relationships with brokers, clients, and external partners.
• Communicate underwriting strategies and company initiatives to stakeholders.
• Foster a high-performing team culture through coaching and succession planning.
