Job summary

Lumbee River EMC in Pembroke, NC seeks a Directional Drilling General Foreman to oversee creation of underground paths for electrical and fiber lines. You will coordinate field operations, supervise crews, and ensure safety and efficiency across projects.

Responsibilities include drilling, staking sheet review, equipment operation, pre/post-job inspections, and daily scheduling. The role requires CDL-A, OSHA familiarity, and leadership experience in HDD operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• 1-3 years supervisory/crew management experience required.
• 5-8 years horizontal directional drilling operation experience required.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills are crucial.
• Time management skills are required.
• Ability to follow HDD standards and interpret plans/maps.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations required.
• Thorough knowledge of first aid.
• Valid Class A CDL upon hire required.
• Electrical Line Installer and Repair Certification (Journeyman Lineman) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate creation of new paths for underground power lines and fiber optic lines.
• Perform standby duties for power restoration during/after hours and on holidays/weekends.
• Drill paths for underground infrastructure and review staking sheets with deviations.
• Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment and vacuum system.
• Monitor, inspect, and ensure no damage to property during drilling.
• Coordinate project schedules and daily work.
• Conduct pre-job briefings addressing safety concerns.
• Communicate drilling concerns to team members.
