Job summary

Lumbee-River-EM is seeking a Directional Drilling General Foreman in Kentucky to oversee the creation of underground paths for electrical and fiber lines. You will supervise crews, manage drilling operations, and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, operating drilling and locating equipment, and performing pre-job safety briefings. A strong background in HDD, OSHA safety procedures, and a valid CDL are required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Supervisory/Crew Management experience is required.
• 5-8 years Horizontal Directional Drilling operation experience is required.
• Must follow Horizontal Directional Drilling Standards and interpret drill plans/maps.
• Must have knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Commercial Driver's License (Class A) is required upon hire; Journeyman Lineman certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the creation of new paths for underground electrical power and fiber optic lines.
• Perform standby duties for power restoration during/after normal hours and holidays.
• Drill paths for underground infrastructure and review staking sheets.
• Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment and locate equipment.
• Ensure drilling does not damage public or private property through observation and inspection.
• Coordinate project schedules and daily work performance.
• Lead pre-job briefings and address safety concerns before each job.
• Communicate effectively with team members about drilling concerns.
