Job summary

Duck River Electric Membership Corporation is seeking a Directional Drilling General Foreman to oversee the planning and execution of underground drilling projects, including electrical and fiber optic lines. You will coordinate crews, review staking sheets, and ensure safety and compliance during drilling operations.

The role requires 5–8 years of HDD experience and 1–3 years of supervisory work, plus a valid Class A CDL. Expect field leadership, scheduling, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform duties.
• 1–3 years supervisory/crew management required.
• 5–8 years horizontal directional drilling operation required.
• Must follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• First aid knowledge required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) upon hire.
• Journeyman Lineman certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate drilling paths for underground electrical and fiber optic lines.
• Perform standby duties for power restoration during/after hours, holidays and weekends.
• Drill paths for underground infrastructure and review staking sheets.
• Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment, locate equipment, and vacuum system.
• Ensure boring does not damage property via observation techniques.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and coordinate project schedules.
• Conduct pre-job briefings including safety concerns.
• Communicate drilling concerns to team.
