Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support professional to provide supervision and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community setting.

You will help implement training and support plans while ensuring health, safety and well-being at all times. Responsibilities include coordinating staff schedules, doctor appointments and transportation, maintaining documentation, and upholding licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with endorsements and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent as required by work location.
• Minimum one year of experience in human service field if required by work location.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residential Program Director in providing supervision to meet individuals' needs and goals.
• Ensure training, behavior and support plans are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Protect health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provide a positive, reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Assist with scheduling staff, doctors' appointments, vehicle maintenance and shopping as assigned.
