Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on leadership within the South Dakota Day Program in Sioux Falls. The role includes mentoring Direct Support Professionals, ensuring program quality, and promoting independence for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will partner with the Program Manager and other staff to implement person-centered supports, monitor ISPs, and foster a collaborative, trauma-informed

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Direct Support Professional role (6 months minimum required).
Ability to read, write, and document effectively in English.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Successful completion of required background clearances and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Mentor, train, observe, and support Direct Support Professionals.
Provide feedback regarding implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
Model professional and positive interactions with individuals receiving services.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and quality service delivery.
Collaborate with management to ensure quality programming.
