Dungarvin is hiring a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver in Indiana. This full-time position supports individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, coordinating services and guiding DSP staff. Expect paid training, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

What You Get to Do:

ALead Direct Support Professionalis responsible for the coordination of services to the individuals served, including finance, medical, recreation, program services, family contact/involvement, education, and household management. This position assists the program director in maintaining consistency in program implementation, individual care, and communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members, including the day or residential program. The lead direct support professional also carries out the duties of a direct support professional.

• Assist the Program Director with responsibilities such as:
  • Read, know, and implement organizational policies/procedures
  • Act as a role model for other DSPs
  • Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting data
  • Maintain program supplies
  • Assist in training staff
• Responsibilities as a DSP:
  • Provide hand-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to both persons served an DSPs
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
  • Assist with financials and documentation.
