Job summary

Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional / Caregiver in the United States. Multiple shifts available with a wage of $15.75 per hour.

The role focuses on providing direct support, positive direction, instruction and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them live as independently as possible. We offer a $1500 sign-on bonus, paid training, PTO, health benefits for FT employees, a 401K with employer match after one year, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Valid drivers license required for transporting individuals.
• Patient, kind, and reliable with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Ensure safety, comfort and personal growth of those served.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mobility, dressing, bathing and toileting.

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served)
• Candidates must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required
