Job summary

The Opportunity Tree seeks a Lead Direct Support Professional to support Members with developmental disabilities in residential settings. The role emphasizes promoting independence, life skills, and person-centered planning.

You will supervise health and safety, coordinate daily living activities, and assist with transportation and documentation. Requires 18+, valid license, English fluency, and background in IDD preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English, both in speech and writing.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the IDD field preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and web browsing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Members' health, safety, and security, including activities of daily living.
• Coordinate instruction and supervision of Members in daily living skills and recreational activities.
• Encourage Members to develop positive interpersonal skills.
• Coordinate transportation and accompany Members per their Person Center Plan.
• Ensure proper medication procedures are followed as ordered by physicians.
• Communicate progress and issues to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Plan and maintain Members' and household accounts; manage records and paperwork.
