Job summary

The Opportunity Tree is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our group homes in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports Members with developmental disabilities in building living skills and independence.

You will supervise daily living activities, ensure safety, and coordinate transportation and recreational events under the Person-Centered Plan. Strong communication and reliability are essential; valid driver license required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English required.
• Experience in the IDD field preferred.
• Must have a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Support Members with developmental disabilities in daily living and life skills.
• Supervise health, safety, and activities of daily living.
• Coordinate instruction and supervision of daily living skills and recreational events.
• Encourage development of interpersonal skills.
• Coordinate transportation per Person Center Plan.
• Ensure medication procedures and physician orders are followed.
• Develop and monitor each Member's program; report progress to staff.
• Manage Member and household accounts.
