Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Avon, CT is seeking a dedicated Server for our Dining Services team. You will take food and beverage orders, assist residents, and support dining room operations under the direction of the Dining Services Director.

The role emphasizes person-centered service, safety, infection control, and teamwork with kitchen staff. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior dining room experience are preferred, as is the ability to communicate effectively and keep work areas

Qualifications

• Must interact effectively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations.
• Must be able to serve food and beverages in a prompt and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals in a timely manner.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Assists residents with meal selection and special needs.
• Maintains clean and safe dining areas and reports hazards.
• Cleans tables, chairs, refrigerators and freezers as part of duties.
• Supports inventorying and replenishing dining room supplies.
