Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS seeks an experienced Accuracy Control specialist to lay out, fabricate, and assemble tooling and reference points with exact tolerances. You will use CAD tools and 3-D metrology like photogrammetry, total stations, and laser trackers to verify alignment and quality.

Lead and mentor technicians, coordinate with internal and external teams, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have strong technical knowledge in accuracy control
• Experience with dimensional surveying and ship construction processes
• Familiarity with quality assurance and process improvement

Responsibilities

• Perform complex duties requiring technical knowledge of accuracy control
• Lead technicians and coordinate with project teams
• Develop documentation for foundations and assemblies
• Maintain knowledge of fitting and welding techniques for guidance
• Communicate with customers on part construction and process optimization
• Train and mentor technicians; manage daily schedules
