HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS is seeking an Inside Machinist to support the construction of advanced naval vessels. You will operate lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders to create high‑precision components.

You will read blueprints, set up machines, and machine threads and shafts to tight tolerances while prioritizing safety and quality in a team‑oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and machining skills required.
• Experience with lathes, mills and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and other precision machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture high-accuracy components.
• Machine threads and taper shafts to exact specifications.
• Produce precision parts for complex shipboard systems.
• Maintain strict quality standards for reliability and performance.
