Job summary
Saronic Technologies Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer – Accuracy Control to lead dimensional control, metrology, and alignment across shipyard fabrication, assembly, and testing for autonomous surface vessels.
You will verify GD&T compliance and maintain measurement records while partnering with engineering and production teams. Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in quality engineering, hands-on experience with laser trackers and total stations, and a strong eye for dimensional accuracy in marine
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related technical field.
- 3–5 years in quality engineering or metrology.
- Experience in shipbuilding or marine environments is preferred.
- Strong GD&T and inspection method knowledge.
- Proficiency with metrology equipment and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dimensional control procedures for shipyard activities.
- Perform high-accuracy inspections and alignment verification.
- Use metrology equipment to establish vessel coordinate systems.
- Identify improvements to reduce rework and improve fit-up.
- Document inspection data, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Support harbor acceptance testing and sea trials.
