Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. seeks an experienced dimensional control professional to verify critical measurements across vessel construction phases. You will collaborate with production and Engineering to ensure as-designed geometry and tolerances are met.

Responsibilities include checking panels, jig construction, critical alignments, and supporting yard projects with measurement checks. Proficiency with laser measuring tools and CAD is required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years shipyard experience desired.
• Experience using electronic and laser measuring equipment and dimensional control.
• Knowledge of ship terminology, safety, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Check measurements of panels during panel line fabrication.
• Check all jig construction for as-designed geometry.
• Check all critical alignments during unit construction.
• Check all critical alignments during block erection.
• Be available to help production with any measurements that may be required.
• Be available for yard projects that require measurement checks.
• Liaison between production and Engineering.
• Perform other duties as required.
