Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware in the Syracuse area, focusing on cutting-edge digital hardware, FPGA, and high-speed systems for a DoD sensing technology manufacturer.

The role involves leading design efforts, FPGA development on Xilinx platforms, and lab-based validation, with citizenship and security clearance requirements. Collaborative, cross-functional work across the product lifecycle is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-gen products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, DSP, and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through product lifecycle.
