Job Duties and Responsibilities

ADI’s Aerospace and Defense Sensors, Subsystems, & Space business unit seeks an experienced digital design engineer with FPGA/ASIC RTL and schematic capture expertise. You will work on new technology development, designing integrated modules and subsystems for electronic warfare (EW), communication, and phased array radar systems. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing engineering, program management, business development, and division leadership throughout research, design, and production phases.

  1. Design and implement high-speed digital circuits for EW, RF communications, and phased array applications.
  2. Contribute to FPGA-centric hardware architecture and design, including schematic, RTL, analysis, and interface validation.
  3. Collaborate across teams for product development, system design, and hardware/software performance verification.
Qualifications
Required
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field; MSc preferred.
  • 7+ years FPGA design experience.
  • Board-level design including component selection, schematic capture, debugging, and optimization.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces like 100 GigE.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Allegro, PADS.
  • RTL design skills (Verilog, VHDL), including timing closure in large FPGAs.
  • Knowledge of design techniques to maximize signal integrity and isolation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills in a dynamic environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with DOD radar, electronic warfare, or RF communication algorithms.
  • Familiarity with C#, Python, C/C++, TCL.
  • Knowledge of RF systems.
