We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Principal Design Engineer with experience in various design aspects of RF front-end modules, including circuit design, simulation, layout, validation, data analysis, and reporting. The role involves integrating multiple die and surface mount devices into multi-layer laminate, collaborating with cross-functional teams from conception to production to develop high-volume multi-chip modules. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential to coordinate inputs from team members. The successful candidate will complete design, simulation, design rule verification, and ordering to meet schedule and product specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and integrate RF modules including PAs, LNAs, switches, and filters into compact multi-chip modules (MCM).
• Characterize, verify, and debug designs through lab measurements.
• Conduct peer reviews of designs, including expected and actual results.
• Work collaboratively to execute projects within aggressive schedules.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering (MSc or PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of RF design experience.
• Proficiency with ADS and EM tools such as HFSS and Momentum, and understanding their application to laminate-based modules.
• Knowledge of 4G and 5G cellular protocols and frequency bands.
• Strong background in linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and tools.
• Ability to refine simulations for accurate predictability aiming for first-pass success.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
