We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Principal Design Engineer with experience in various design aspects of RF front-end modules, including circuit design, simulation, layout, validation, data analysis, and reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating multiple die and surface-mount devices into multi-layer laminate. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams from conception through production to develop high-volume multi-chip modules, as well as excellent communication skills and attention to detail to coordinate inputs from the team. The candidate will complete design, simulation, design rule verification, and ordering to ensure the laminate meets schedule and product specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and integration of modules at the component level, including PAs, LNAs, switches, and filters into highly compact multi-chip modules (MCM).
2. Characterization, verification, and debugging of designs through lab measurements.
3. Conduct peer reviews of designs, including expected and actual results.
4. Work collaboratively with the team to execute projects within aggressive schedules.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering (MSc or PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in RF design.
• Proficiency with ADS and EM tools such as HFSS and Momentum, and understanding of their application to laminate-based modules.
• Knowledge of 4G and 5G cellular protocols and frequency bands.
• Strong background in linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and tools.
• Ability to refine simulation results for high predictability and first-pass success.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
