Job summary

Long Island Care Center is seeking a Full-time Dietary Supervisor to help plan, organize, develop and supervise the Dietary Department in our facility.

The role requires long term care and supervisory experience, with leadership qualities to supervise non-professional staff while ensuring compliance with nutritional, safety and quality standards. You will hire, train, and schedule staff, oversee supplies, and ensure sanitation even in the director's absence.

Qualifications

• Long term care experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must possess leadership qualities and the willingness to supervise non-professional staff.
• Maintain supplies, equipment and sanitation in food service areas in absence of the director.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training and reviewing staff performance.
• Ensure food service complies with nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assess and meet nutritional needs of residents.
• Schedule and receive food/beverage deliveries.
• Prepare a variety of foods according to patient meal plans.
