Job summary

Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Syosset, NY is seeking a Dietary Services Supervisor to lead our nutrition program for residents. You will supervise dietary staff, develop meals, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and partner with nursing to deliver high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold a nutrition/dietetics background, demonstrate strong leadership, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (preferred).
Experience in dietary services, preferably in long-term care.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of dietary personnel, including dietitians, diet technicians, and food service staff.
Develop and implement dietary plans and menus that meet residents' nutritional needs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to food service and nutrition.
Maintain accurate records of food service operations, including inventory management and food safety protocols.
Collaborate with nursing and activities to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects.
Provide education and training to staff on food service policies and procedures.
